My Birthday

My birthday is, I know, my special day,
I shouldn’t have to hear the words you said!
You made the day I love become the worst,
you broke my heart with all your stupid words!

And I, so fragile, made myself a fool,
I thought I could just spend my day with you.
Your envious heart has made you blind, you see?,
to all the stupid things you’ve done to me.

I sat alone to cry there in my room.
I can’t do more than hate the day of doom:
The day you’ve screwed with all those selfish words,
our heart can’t make now more than different chords.

The one I love much more than all my friends…
To be the son you love… I will pretend.
